Rick Edwards for Makaveli Branded recently sat down for an interview with Rap News Direct. Edwards said that Makaveli Branded's official website, www.makaveli-branded.com, is opening soon. E-commerce won't be available until March 2004, though.

Makaveli Branded is looking to become a global company, meaning that they've got plans to expand outside of the United States.

"We launched with initial focus being on the men's division, with future plans of all categories of apparel - women's, junior's, shoes and accessories," Edwards told RapNewsDirect. "Young Makaveli is scheduled to be available for retail in March-April 2004."

"The line is consistent to Tupac's look and style," he continued. "Makaveli is an evolution of street wear, active wear and high end fashion."

Chaka Zulu, Chingy and Ludacris will participate in the first Tribute Campaign Advertisements, which will be The Source and XXL magazines in the upcoming months.

Proceeds from Makaveli Branded will go to the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation for the completion of the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for Arts in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
